Finding Our Voice Again
WE ARE BACK! And we’re ready to embark on our 30th season!
Welcome to the exciting reopening of our doors to begin singing together again!
Mrs. Brown and I have been meeting and keeping up with all COVID requirements so that we can have a safe reopening this fall. There will be some adjustments we will be making, so please read through this whole announcement for all information for this 2021-22 season.
There will be 2 choirs this year as we rebuild together.
SONNET - This choir will be a non-audition choir open to everyone, grades 2 - 12.
EPIC - This choir will have a limited number of participants and is auditioned. It is for girls that are interested in a more involved musical experience. Girls will go through an audition process with Mrs. Brown and will receive notification upon acceptance into the choir.
Choir members accepted into Epic will be required to take part in both choirs as well as participate in the Music in the Making Festival in April of 2022.
AUDITION and REGISTRATION will be held Monday, September 27, 4:45-6:15pm

REHEARSALS will continue to be on Mondays and will be from 4:45 - 6:15 pm.
SONNET: 4:45-5:30
EPIC: 4:45-6:15 (4:45 -5:30 whole choir, 5:30-6:15 Epic only)
CONCERTS will be held on rehearsal nights at 7pm.
Holiday Concert - Monday, December 13
Spring concert - Monday May 2
CHOIR TEAM BUILDING DAY
Saturday, October 16th for music handout, uniform measurements and fun!
OUR NEW LOCATION
Because of Salem Keizer School Districts COVID policies they are unable to house us this year.
We will not be able to provide a waiting room, however, there is ample parking at our new location and many places in the immediate area for shopping and running errands.
All WGC rehearsals and concerts will be held at the
South Salem Church of the Nazarene;
1661 Boone Rd SE Salem, OR 97302
Our season will be be from;
September 27, 2021(registration) - May 2, 2022(final concert)
Tuition cost and payments will be changing and will continue to be an all inclusive cost for all uniforms, t-shirt, singing masks, music, and festival costs* (*included in EPIC tuition only).
We will be breaking our season into two semesters.
One payment will be made at the beginning of each semester.
We have chosen this payment schedule as a precaution to safeguard families in the event that it is necessary for WGC to close because of state mandates regarding COVID.
We believe this will also help to lessen the burden of full payment requirements up front.
SONNET - $400 YR - Payment Schedule ~ $200 FALL/OCT $200 SPRING/JAN
EPIC - $500 YR - Payment Schedule ~ $250 FALL/OCT $250 SPRING/JAN
There will be no fundraisers this year ( IE: pie sales, flower sales, etc)
