Willamette Girlchoir

Willamette Girlchoir is enrolling girls in kindergarten through 2nd grade for our fall season of Vivace choir. Vivace is $150 for fall semester and meets Thursday evenings starting in September, from 5-6 PM. No auditions are necessary; simply call for a registration form and pay to sign up.

Willamette Girlchoir is holding auditions for girls in 3rd grade through 12th grade for our other choirs: Dolce, Bellissima, and Bella Voce, for 2010-2011 season. Auditions will be held at our offices at 600 State Street in downtown Salem, Tuesdays throughout the summer from 3 - 5 PM, by appointment. Call to schedule a 20-30 minute audition spot and to get updated registration information. Auditions are simply to place girls in the appropriate choir and vocal part. Girls should be prepared to sing their favorite song acappella and will meet with our Founder & Artistic Director, Caren Jensen to run through some vocal exercises. Auditions are one-on-one, very relaxed - no need to be nervous. 503-370-6383.

Call now to enroll in Willamette Girlchoir's summer workshop, "Promoting Healthy Movement in Performance" August 16th - 20th 10 AM - 2 PM, Monday - Friday. Workshop is open to students entering 6th - 12th grades. Cost is $125 for the week and includes a t-shirt, course materials, and a DVD of the experience.

This workshop will provide opportunities to learn healthy movement of the body in performance for the prevention of injury, as well as strengthening music theory and ear training skills, and the art of preparing for performance.
