bellissima choir

Bellissima is an auditioned choir. Singers may consist of exceptional 5th grade singers but for the most part sixth grade through early high school. This age width is determined by experience and vocal stability.

Auditions:

  1. Singer will sing a song that she loves.
  2. Singer will provide a letter of recommendation from school teaches or a close friend who has known her for a long period of time.
  3. Singer will sing scale and arpeggio's - under the direction of the artistic director.
  4. Singer will identify as many musical elements as possible


Singer will learn to:

  1. Continue to develop free and easy singing on the breath.
  2. Develop an understanding of herself as an artist.
  3. Develop and understanding of her instrument and herself as a "mover".
  4. Sing in languages appropriate to the development of the choir at any given time and year.
  5. Sing in as many parts and styles as possible through a year and at the developmental level of the choir in a given year.


Singers will be invited:

  1. To attend a theory and ear training class


Singers Will Perform:

  1. Three major concerts a year


Singers May Perform:

  1. For local business partners
  2. At the Capitol (Dec)
