bella voce

Bella Voce is an auditioned choir of advanced singers in the 7th through 12 grades. These ladies are ambassadors of WGC.

Auditions:

  1. Singers are limited to not more than 10 in this ensemble.
  2. Place is determined by audition from within the choir program.
  3. Openings are determined by graduation or withdrawal from the program.
  4. Auditions will be done before the entire ensemble to determine the best voice that will blend with the existing members.
  5. Erase all marks before turning music in


Singers Will Learn:

  1. To perform independently on their parts.
  2. Use their voices to sing many styles of literature.
  3. Study parts at home and or with recorded material to prepare themselves for choir.


Singers Will Develop:

  1. A greater understanding of theory:
    • Scales
    • Modes
    • Solfege (sight reading)
    • Intervals - both singing and identifying written
    • Greater understanding of musical form
    • Greater understanding of musical notation


Singers Will Perform:

  1. Three Major Concerts A Year.


Singers May Perform:

  1. For local business or community groups (retirement centers.)
  2. At the Capitol.
  3. For the Women's Choral Festival (Willamette).
